After the show premiered last fall, you told us that you used to be jealous of Josh Holloway for the things he got to say and do as Sawyer on Lost. Now Damon is that character. What do you think it is about him that draws fans in?
I only know what I love about him: Though he may be doing things that are off our moral compass, Damon loves what he’s doing, and he’s enjoying the hell out of his life, even despite the amount of pain and anger that he has inside of him. A lot of the world has a lot of pain and anger, and it’s fun to watch someone who’s learned how to take their pain and make it fun. [Exec producers] Kevin [Williamson] and Julie [Plec] have assembled a phenomenal writing team. When I watch the episodes, I don’t see Damon as me, because Damon is such a specific, strong character. It has nothing to do with me. It’s the way it’s written down on the page.

Ofcourse you remember the Ultimate Sexy beast poll that EW.com had created. And how Damon Salvatore/ Ian Somerhalder won the final round Vs Edward Cullen/ Robert Pattinson from Twilight.

This issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine (Issue September 3, 2010) is all about: the Sexy Beast poll, all the nominees who were nominated, fans comments and finally a lil interview with the winner of the poll which is Ian Somerhalder as I mentioned yesterday. Here are the scans:

Who won the ultimate sexy beast poll by EW.com? The winner had announced.

Without any Introductions or anything. I’m going to say it quickly: Damon Salvatore is the winner of EW the Ultimate Sexy Beast.

Well, I just wanna say: WOHOO! That’s awesome. I got a feeling that Ian/ Damon will win this. Even though Twilighters (Team Edward) girls were also voting.

Damon/ Ian voting rank reached: 138,630 votes.

Edward/ Robert voting rank reached: 134,728 votes.

Only 3,902 votes differemce between the two.

And guys, look for Entertainment Weekly for more stuff about the Poll and also an interview with Ian Somerhalder coming out August 27.
