Very sad news, L. J. Smith fans and TVD readers. If you were on the internet these past days, you surely had heard about “L. J Smith got fired” thing. At first, the news weren’t confirmed, but at Feb, 9 2011, L. J. Smith confirmed it writing in her blog:

First, I want to thank my readers for all their messages of support.  I’ve gotten far too many emails to answer, and I really appreciate the kindness and emotional sustenance you’ve given to me at this difficult time.

Second, if you’ve asked me a question about the future books or the endgame of The Vampire Diaries and I’ve been vague about what’s in store, I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize.  I really wasn’t  looking forward to the day when I would have to talk about this…. I really felt bad when I 1st heard about this as me being a huge L. J Smith fan and of  TVD series. :( But what we can do?

And don’t worry, everyone: the TV Series is not effected by this and don’t worry, book Readers, “Midnight” will be out at its date.

We all know, few weeks ago that L. J. Smith is planning to release a new Trilogy after “The Return”. And she needed our help for a Title for it. L. J posted on her official blog (Thanks to V-D.net for the heads up!) that she found a title.

The New Name for the next Vampire Diaries Trilogy is . . .
. . . The Hunters. I suppose this is because the core group will be going to college together, where they will meet new characters and find mysteries to solve, both occult and otherwise. Read more….

Oh yeah! Can’t wait now. “Phantom” is going to be the title of the 1′st volume. And 2011 is going to be an exciting year for the fans of the books. :)

Yessssssss! If you are a VD fan of the books and you love to know any detail about them, then ofcourse you have already heard about the new trilogy that will come out after “The Return” series.

The new trilogy are going -without a doubt- to have 3 volumes. The 1′st: Phantom. 2′d: Evensong. And the 3′rd Eternity. (No set date yet!)

L. J Smith wants your help. She need a title for the new trilogy. And as she wrote on her blog: [Spoiler ALERT. If you do not wish to know about the new trilogy. DO NOT read]

I’ve just emerged from a very intense session of negotiation with the result that, barring my publishers rejecting Midnight, there will be a new arc of three books in The Vampire Diaries series. My choices for titles are Phantom, Evensong and Eternity, but first thing this morning my agent informed me that they are looking to me for suggestions for a name for the entire arc (the last one they called The Return). If anyone has a nice title and no use for it, email me. The books are about Elena and Stefan et. al. starting at Dalcrest College, and finding themselves playing the role of Spirit Hunters (already suggested by me) or just plain hunting serial murderers who may or may not be mystical. If you do think of something, and we use it, I’ll send you an autographed book!

FYI: Midnight, the 7′th book and the last one in the “Return” trilogy coming out in March, 15, 2011

BTW, if you haven’t read Shadow Souls yet, well, you missed a lot of awesome moments between Elena & Damon.

If you are a VD fan who love to get details about your fave show/book, you definitely had heard about Stefan’s Diaries. There were some gossiping about releasing Stefan’s diaries. on the public. No one knew if it’s false or a fact.

And it had confirmed, yes, there’ll be Diaries for Stefan that would come out on Sales. And it won’t be 1 volume, but 3 volumes, under titles:

And the releasing date for the first volume is going to be in November 2, 2010. The second volume is going to be in January 4, 2011 . And the third is going to be in: May 3, 2011.

No covers released for these books yet. *But can’t wait though for them*

And guys, HEADS UP: Stefan’s Diaries are going to be -as I said- three volumes based on the THE TV SERIES.

Few months ago, L.J Smith  (The author of The Vampire Diaries books) published on her official site a contest to win Twin Fox Ring with alexandrite eyes and little golden ears (The fans who read VD the Return: Shadow Souls know what that ring is)

And the contest runs from March 15-June 1 2010. But June had come and went, no winners annouced.

That what comes on L.J Smith’s official Myspace in May 18, 2010:

“Due to the overwhelming response to this contest,  the winners will not be declared until July 1-15.  I simply have far too many emails that I have to match up with a random number generator in order to randomly pick the winners.  And, I am still hard at work on Midnight, the last of the Vampire Diaries Returns: All about Damon arc.  Don’t worry!  There will be other books about the Vampire Diaries crowd out soon after Midnight.”

So, the contest still on, if you want more information about Shadow Souls: Twin Fox ring, press here.
